Tritech’s scope of work for this project included:

  • Civil – Abandon the 350 mm steel line and install new HDPE force main.
    Remove two abandoned 125 hp pumps in the MLS.
    Install a new 250 hp pump to serve as a standby pump
    Install a new force main header (304SS) and associated valving
    Modify and Install a new access staircase to remove need for ladder access

Tritech acted as Design-Builder to undertake the design and construction. This work included:

  • 3D modelling and design using AutoCAD Plant 3D
    Production of all 30%,90% & IFC drawings
    Design & Install of structural upgrades
    Design & Install of the Oxygen injection system
    Design & Install 250hp pump/motor gantry crane to facilitate maintenance and demolish existing unit
    Seal existing cores to the wet well and core a new opening for the new 250hp pump and seal opening where existing 450mm pipe exits building
    Design and install all new header piping and third 250hp pump and motor
    Design and replace all existing domestic water and utility water piping
    Design and install of all valves and appurtenances, variable frequency drive (VFD), pressure transmitter, SCADA
    Commissioning and Owner Acceptance Testing
