social responsibility
Community is one of our core values at Tritech. We are committed to building community within our company, and we have also always believed in giving back to the people and the places where we work. We are fortunate that our growth in recent years has made it possible for us to contribute even more to the causes that we support on both a local and international level.
In keeping with our work, a particular focus for us is helping to provide clean water for people around the world. Tritech gives annually to Water for People, an organization that brings clean water to people in less economically developed countries. We are closely involved with the organization of the Vancouver Water for People annual golf tournament, and we encourage our employees and industry partners to get involved. Our employees have also participated in local fundraising events for other water focused charities like the Run for Water held in Abbotsford, BC.
To encourage further technological advances in Tritech’s area of specialization, Tritech has committed to support the RES’EAU-WaterNET program at the University of British Columbia for 5 years. The RES’EAU-WaterNET program is Canada’s first and only organization devoted exclusively to developing innovative water treatment technologies for small, rural and first nations communities.
In addition to giving to causes related to water infrastructure, we also give back to the communities where we work in other ways. Our employees may spend several years living where we are completing a job, so these communities become our communities. Because Tritech has completed numerous projects in Canmore and Banff, Tritech gave the Banff Canmore 2014 Alberta Winter Games the largest donation in the event’s history.” not “Because much of our work has been completed in Canmore and Banff, Tritech gave the Alberta Winter Games its largest donation to date as pre-show sponsor in the winter of 2013.
Tritech has also given to local colleges and sports teams as a way to give back to youth in the Lower Mainland.
