As Prime Contractor for this current and ongoing project, Tritech is responsible for the construction of two multi-stage odour control facilities that will provide odour control for Metro Vancouver’s South Surrey Interceptor.

As the Prime Contractor, Tritech’s scope of work included:

  • Biotrickling filter/biofilter vessels, mist eliminators, carbon scrubbers, foul air fans, neutralization tank, nutrient tank, and ancillary mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls equipment
  • All mechanical components for both facilities including pumping equipment, process piping and valves, flow measurement, and plumbing systems
  • Electrical, instrumentation and control systems including electrical kiosk, MCC, BCH incoming equipment, facility area control panel, heat tracing, lighting, and instruments
  • Programming control of the odour control system using a new PLC control system for each facility
  • All auxiliary equipment, structures, and sitework including drains, sewers, watermains and systems required to complete the work for both facilities
  • Testing and commissioning of the new equipment and auxiliaries
  • Coordination with the City of Surrey and the City of Delta for tie-ins to City services and construction within public rights-of-way
  • Equipment and operating training to the Corporation’s personnel
  • Grading and Landscaping and the construction of gravel driveways and facility platforms
