Run For Water is an Abbotsford based nonprofit society dedicated to staging a high-caliber running event to help raise money for clean drinking water. On Sunday, May 29th, seven Tritech employees and their guests completed the 10 km Run for Water in Abbotsford, B.C. and two employees completed the 5 km run.
It was a cool cloudy day that was perfect for running and raising money for the people in Sasiga, Ethiopia. Currently, children in Sasiga have to walk around 2 hours to get water and despite this long trek, the water is still full of bacteria and disease. Run for Water had the goal of bringing clean drinking water to the 4000 people in Sasiga and with the help of all the participants and enthusiastic Tritech runners, they were able to come closer to this goal!
Tritech has supported the Run for Water events since it was first organized and plans to continue to support the cause for years to come with help from our caring employees!
