We’re excited to announce the completion of upgrades to the Mamquam Wastewater Treatment Plant in Squamish, BC! These improvements include a new Bioreactor/Clarifier system compromising of a 40m diameter tank constructed in concrete equipped with aeration and sludge removing machine to enhance sewage treatment capacity as well as adding a Septage Receiving Station. The upgrades are designed to handle future population growth, improve treatment capacity, and ensure environmental safety. The project was schedule driven as the newly added system had to be completed and synced with the existing facilities prior to starting the wet season. The plant will now be more resilient to seismic and flood events, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance effluent quality. Plus, the new station will offer better security, waste screening, and automated monitoring for commercial haulers. These upgrades will continue providing top-notch service to the community and the environment!
