The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) has awarded Tritech Group Ltd. the contract to install an Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection System, with redundancy capabilities, at the Chapman Creek Water Treatment Plant in Sechelt.

The Chapman Creek watershed supplies approximately 76 percent of the Sunshine Coast’s population, including residents, businesses, schools, and hospitals. The new UV Disinfection System will enhance the reliability of the water treatment process, ensuring clean water for all.

Work is expected to begin in mid-to-late 2025 and be completed by the first half of 2026.
